Noel is located in the southwest corner of Missouri (see map). Considered by many as the western gateway to the Ozark mountains, Noel is a river valley town; located along the clear, smooth-running waters of the Elk River. The rolling Ozarks hills surround Noel on every side, and the distinctive Noel bluffs, carved out naturally by the Elk River centuries ago, give Noel a unique landscape that has drawn tourists ever since the city was founded over 100 years ago.

From the North (Kansas City, MO; Joplin, MO; etc.):
Take the new 4-lane US highway 71 south to the Highway "H" exit. Turn right on "H" and head west 6 miles into Noel.
From the South, (Ft. Smith, AR; Fayetteville, AR; etc.):
Take US highway 71 north into Missouri. After about four miles past the state line, you can take state highway 90 west to Noel. This route is exceptionally hilly and curvy, so you might wish to do as most of the locals do and continue on up US highway 71 about 5 more miles to the Pineville/Noel Highway "H" exit. Turn right on "H" and head west 6 miles into Noel.
From the West (Wichita, KS; Tulsa, OK; Oklahoma City, OK; etc.):
The easiest way for most people coming from the west is actually to get to US highway 71 and follow the directions given above. If, however, you like taking the back roads, get on state highway 43 (either in Missouri, Arkansas, or Oklahoma, depending on your direction of travel) and take it to Southwest City, Missouri. From the outskirts of Southwest City, take state highway 90 east about four miles directly to Noel.
From the East (Branson, MO; Eureka Springs, AR; etc.):
As it is from the west, it's also easiest to get to US highway 71 and follow the directions given above (depending on if you reach US highway 71 north or south of Noel). But if you prefer the scenic route: From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take US highway 62 West to Gateway, Arkansas. Turn right on state highway 37 into Missouri. In about nine miles, you'll reach Washburn, Missouri; and from there, take state highway 90 west. If you stay on state highway 90, it will take you directly to Noel. For the truly adventurous, take county road K (also paved) through the Huckleberry Ridge State Forest for a beautiful example of the Ozark timber; and when you reach US highway 71, go north a mile into Pineville and turn left onto Highway "H" the last seven miles to Noel.
